This is a beautiful thick piece of solid Claro Walnut. This piece has lovely color variation between the lighter marbled streaks and the rich dark tones of the wood as well as a classic straight grain look. It measures 18" x 17 3/4" at the widest points and is 2 1/2 thick. This board has been finished with a mixture of mineral oil and wax giving it a food safe surface perfect for food contact and light food prep. All of my boards are worked from hand selected kiln dried lumber until they reach nothing less than heirloom quality.

Each piece is unique and is as much a work of art as it is functional. They will require a fresh coat of mineral oil, wax or a mixture of the two from time to time in order to maintain their natural beauty. There are many finishing options available just be sure whatever you use is FOOD SAFE. These boards are very durable and after years of heavy use can be sanded down and completely refinished.
