Lovely Vintage Light Oak wood Folding Cake Stand with 3 folding wood trays on a swivel rod with overhead handle- see below needs repairing - there is a folding metal hinged mechanism on the middle tray that opens and closes the 3 platforms - each tray has a hinge attaching it separately to the vertical bar at the back -the trays pivot on a screw on either side attached to the 2 side uprights - the trays themselves are made from bonded layers of wood - the bottom tray has split and the screw is no longer attached on one side - this will need to be repaired so the pivot nail can be refitted - there are scuffs and marks consistent with age and use and some nicks in the wood on the upright at the back -please study photographs carefully as they do help and form part of the description -this is an attractive light wood so typical of the mid 20th century - well worth trying to repair - a charming useful piece - fold it up when not in use - great for a tea party for displaying an array of cake and sandwiches or as a temporary stand or simply as an attractive compact display stand -don't miss it. 35.75" tall, 11" wide - feet are 15 deep. Weight before packing: 1.5kg.
