It features burling as well as some lovely color variation and a high degree of curl/tiger figure which creates a truly unique piece. It measures 18" x 17" at the widest points and is 1 1/4 thick. It has been finished with a mixture of polymerized linseed oil & beeswax on all sides giving it a soft, food safe surface great for serving and light food prep (such as cutting cheese with a blunt knife). However it should not be used as a cutting board or butcher block as edged utensils will damage the soft finish. The curved and angled live edges can also act as natural handles.
