Beautiful Unique Carlos Zipperer Sobr Butterly Wing Mosaic Wooden Serving Tray

Here we have a lovely antique/vintage tray made by Carlos Zipperer in Brazil. I think this was made during the late 1920's or 1930's. This is absolutely stunning and is incredibly artistic piece, it has a mosaic pattern made using real butterfly wings. It has a gorgeous array of colours, some of which also have a little iridescence.

It has a wooden inlaid frame which is very solid and a glass top to keep the wings in place. This would make a great serving tray, perhaps if you have a quirky vintage tearoom this would fit in a treat, if not it would still make a lovely display piece in your home, it's a great talking piece.
