Rare Henning Koppel / Georg Jensen (denmark) Signed Lg Staved Teak Serving Tray
RARE HENNING KOPPEL for GEORG JENSEN (DENMARK) SIGNED LARGE STAVED TEAK ROUND WOODEN SERVING TRAY. This rare and absolutely fabulous, vintage, signed Henning Koppel for Georg Jensen (Denmark) large round staved teak serving tray is in nearly originally constituted condition. There are literally no noticeable (at least with the human eye) flea-bites or bruises to the outside edge of the teak. The interior scalloped teak basin has perhaps a'touch' or two, which would constitute the slightest of'scuffs' and which would be even considered a true wood'bruise. These scuffs are incredibly shallow and are nearly unnoticeable. You have to tilt the tray in a certain light even to be able to see them.

The baseplate and underside of the teak tray are also in remarkable condition. This wonderful signed teak tray is large, at nearly 17 inches in width and was clearly designed for occasional use and for entertaining during soirees or important holiday get-togethers and gatherings of friends and family. From the Danish designer Henning Koppel, produced for the iconic Danish design firm, known the world over of Georg Jensen, comes this outstanding and nearly perfect large round staved teak serving tray, with hand-picked staved teak boards and incredibly fine surface and complex, rich, vibrant, three-dimensional characteristic teak color. This is not your average round Modernist teak serving tray.

No, it's the Ferrari of teak serving trays or even the Maserati, designed by Henning Koppel for the celebrated and internationally famous and heralded Danish design house of George Jensen. It's magnificent and it's for sale. What are your Martinis being served on?

Hopefully something akin to this absolutely beautiful and striking Henning Koppel for Georg Jensen teak serving tray. For the discretionary collector, for whom the decision of which items they chose to surround themselves with, is not merely a casual, dispassionate, uninformed exercise but rather an elevated, learned behavior and a cultivated sense of taste for the endless pursuit of design excellence. Top shelf and the most expensive, coveted Scotch in the store.

May I offer you a drink? 16 ½" in Diameter x 1 ½" in Depth.
