Original painting on wood tray of a French couple wearing the traditional late 1800's French Breton folk costume of Pont-Aven, Brittany, France. Signed Original Painted in the transitional style of Ecole de Pont-Aven or School of Pont-Aven during the end of the 1800's. Fine outlines of black , white and gray can still be seen in this rare outstanding piece of art influenced by artists such as Gauguin. Some moisture rings are on the edges as pictured and some small spotting as shown.
