I'm not really certain where it's from though. A few different types of wood were used.
Most of it is a darker brown and some of the inlay is a lighter brown. The tray has scattered scuff marks, scratches and nicks to it. It also has some round spots where it looks like someone sat down different size cups over the years and it left some rings and spots and lightened the coloring. There are a few thin, light cracks to the wood, but they look like they happened many years ago and probably will not get worse. The bottom of the tray curves upward at the center going the long way.
I have placed a few different cups on it, and they stay in place. I can't guarantee that every cup won't move a little though! Overall, it's a very good looking tray.
