We are pleased to be able to offer for your consideration this absolutely beautiful hand carved platter from France. The fruit and the flower pattern are carved with exceptional skill. Great detail work of fruit and flowers including cherries and a pomegranate are exquisite.

Someone put a lot of time care in detail into this lovely tray that was most likely carved between 1850 and 1900. You can tell it has been a treasured object for years because of the lovely patina it has achieved thanks to use and proper storage. There is a small split in the center of the wood, this just adds to the character in detail. Considering it age, it is in excellent condition.

This tray is still very functional and has a lot of good years left in it. It would make a great display piece. Please look at all the pictures as they are the best description.
