Details: Antique rectangular beechwood serving tray from northern rural China where they are still in use today. The interesting features about this tray are the construction and the maker's signature in yellow paint on the bottom- made from two pieces of wood, seamed through the middle, the corners are bound by intricate, intersecting grooves (see photo) and the base has been nailed to connect the edges.
