While abroad, Fox had learned the trade of metalworking in the native tradition, and was eager to bring his knowledge to the post-Depression American market. This large hardwood platter has cast aluminum handles in the form of leaping bass. Good used condition, numerous cutlery marks and some color change along one side, but the wood is not eroded and the platter is still strong. Great retro mid-century item is worthy of display or use!
